Judgment Day Exhibit by Nabil Mousa

911 Mural Project-2.jpg

Syrian-born, Atlanta-based artist, Nabil Mousa, has curated an exhibit with interactive art to engage conversations about the effect 9/11 has had on our society. Judgement Day is meant to ignite powerful conversations about the social and religious tension and misconceptions that cause deep-rooted conflict in the post-9/11 world. His exhibit features multi-paneled graffiti displaying scriptural text and insightful commentary about how the nation can open their hearts and mend together.

“I hope to promote healing through my artistic expression,” said Mousa. “My intent is to utilize this piece as a vehicle to bring people from different backgrounds and voices together to find peace through understanding.”

Judgement Day will be on display by appointment from August 27-September 9, 2017. On September 10-11, his art will be open to the public. Experience Judgement Day at Gallery 874, located at 874 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30318.

Mousa will also be signing copies of the book Nabil Mousa: Breaking the Chains at both the Judgement Day exhibit at Gallery 874 and his second exhibit of Celebration of My Heritage at Gallery 7.
