Best Piece of Career Advice You’ve Ever Received

We're kicking off the week with some Monday Motivation from the team at BOFC:

Tatum: One of my best friends from high school would always tell me: "Don’t get overwhelmed trying to make your dream life happen in the blink of an eye. Find the steps you need to take, then accomplish them one by one. You’ll feel more accomplished, motivated, and proud of yourself when you see how far you’ve come.”

Sara: Whenever I'm feeling unmotivated to reach my own goals or jealous of someone else's success, I remind myself of this quote, "You can't have a million dollar dream with a minimum wage work ethic."

Christina: Have one “Epic Fail” a week! The status quo won’t get you far in happiness or success; Dream big and challenge yourself to do things that aren’t easy or don’t come naturally to you. That’s when the magic happens.

Jessi: My mom always told me when it comes to your job and career that comparison is the thief of joy, so I try to use that to stay focused on doing things the Birdie way as opposed to following someone else's path.

Caroline: Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Of course, don't wear a suit when everyone in the office is wearing jeans and sneakers.
