Atlanta’s trading in fooball season for fútbol season. Last night was the first home game for Atlanta United, they city’s new football club. Atlanta isn’t exactly known for its booming sports franchises. Falcon’s fans are still hurting from this year’s Super Bowl, the Braves are in rebuild mode and the Hawks have yet to recapture the underdog magic of their 2015 season. Despite all that, last night’s home opener was sold out. Fans may be jaded, but they’re here for the home team.
In case you missed the mayhem at Bobby Dodd Stadium Sunday night, the next home game is Saturday, March 18th against Chicago Fire. Single game tickets are available for soccer novices, and season tickets are on the market for the soccer hooligans among us. If last night’s sold out crowd is any indication, you may want to nab your tickets now.
