Tips to Kickstart Your Morning

Let’s be real, everyone could use some structure in their lives. Morning routines not only help increase productivity but they ensure that you are starting your day off n the right foot. Whether you need to revamp your pre-existing AM routine or start creating yours, here are some tips you may find useful.


Some preparation may be necessary in helping you to have a better morning. If finding an outfit to wear is the worst part of your morning, lay one out the night before. If available on your coffee maker, set it the night before so it will make coffee right when you wake up. Whatever you can do to jumpstart the next day, go for it. You won’t be sorry.


How you start your day truly can alter your mood. Set aside some time in the morning to get your body fully awake, whether it is drinking coffee, reciting a mantra, doing some meditation/yoga or making a yummy breakfast, make sure you allow yourself to have plenty of time so you can relax and not rush into your day.


When the space around you is tidy, you feel you can get more done. Start getting into a habit of cleaning up after you do your day-to-day tasks. Make your bed in the morning before you leave, clean up your mess while you are cooking breakfast and put away anything you took out to get ready - these little strides will go a long way in making you not only feel more productive but make your home a little nicer to come back to, as well.


Have a lot on your mind of what you need to get done? Start making lists in the morning to get it all down! Not only are lists a great way to stay on top of your daily tasks, they also make you feel really productive when you complete a task and get to check it off.


Easier said than done, but try and find something that makes you happy and insert it into your morning. Exercising is your thing? Go check out an early morning class at the gym. Need some fresh air? Have your morning tea outside for a change. Only you can determine what activity will truly make you feel ready and willing to happily start your day.
