July is National Ice Cream Month. What’s that? You thought every month was National Ice Cream month? Weird, us too. We’re no stranger to a waffle cone filled with cold scoops on a hot summer day, and one of our favorites spots is Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. With three locations around Atlanta, Jeni’s is never far, and we like it that way. In honor of National Ice Cream Month, here are a few of our favorite Jeni’s flavors.
Blackcurrants, lavender, and orange go into making the unique flavor that is Wildberry Lavender. It tastes just like the milk left over after a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. So it’s basically the stuff of your childhood dreams.
Darkest Chocolate packs a serious chocolate punch. The bitterness from the dark chocolate pairs perfectly with a sweeter scoop, and the fact that it’s dark chocolate makes it healthy… We think.
It’s easy to find bad pistachio ice cream, which is why the Pistachio and Honey at Jeni’s is a treasure. The saltiness of the pistachio goes so well with the subtle honey flavor. It’s an out of the box combo that you need to get into a cone.
If you’re opting out on dairy, then go with the Brambleberry Sorbet. The stunning deep magenta color is easy to find in the case, and it’s tart and fruity flavor cannot be missed.
We know the salted caramel trend is reaching the point of exhaustion, but when you try Jeni’s Salty Caramel, you’ll remember why there was a craze in the first place. It’s rich, buttery, and indulgent, just like ice cream should be.
