We can all agree that strawberry jam is good, organic strawberry jam is better, and Georgia-grown, organic strawberry jam is best. Turns out, you can find the best at Preserving Place, a Southern specialty store nestled in the Westside Provisions District. The owner, Martha McMillin, shares her Southern heritage through in-house made preserves, conserves, and jams. Her fastest selling product is Mama’s Strawberry Jam, which last year won a Garden and Gun “Made in the South” award.
This award winning jam starts with organic, Georgia strawberries. Then Martha and her team add a touch of white cane sugar and organic lemon juice, just like her mama taught her, to make their signature jam. Although it’s not available in store now, it will be shortly. Watch out for it, because once Mama’s Strawberry Jam hits the Preserving Place shelves, it won’t stay there for long.
